Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè (/ˈvëki/ /feˈqɘlo/ [hedge] [felony]) is a temperate Town located in the Bëmtlaci Zone of the Union of Engineers.

The name Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè is derived from the Iron Elvish language, as Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè was founded by Vilwiel Treshesèj, who was culturaly Iron Elven.

Climate

Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè has a yearly average temperature of 22°C (71°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a hot 31°C (87°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cool 14°C (57°F). Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè receives an average of 283 cm/y (111 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the spring. Overview

Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè was founded durring the early 9th century, by Vilwiel Treshesèj. The establishment of the new community went well, with no major obsticles durring construction.

Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elven durring the early 9th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè is buildings are arranged arrounded highly ordered system of crampt baked earthen streets which form hexical paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Unfortuantly, these bare minimum defences are in extreem disrepair, so much so that one cannot tell if they are decaying from a lack of mantance or damage incured.

Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè is a bustling hive of activity. Everyone moves at nothing short of a jog, each convocation is a mile a minute, and there’s dedicated lanes for riding through town in the center of each street. The locals all appear to be not merely occupied, but in a true hurry for everything from drinking a pint of ale to their daily work.

Cultural Notes

Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by order, symmetry, formal design, grandiosity, and elaborate ornamentation. Architectural characteristics include balustrades, balconies, columns, cornices, pilasters, and triangular pediments. Stone exteriors are massive and grandiose in their symmetry; interiors are typically polished and lavishly decorated with sculptures, swags, medallions, flowers, and shields. Interiors will often have a grand stairway and opulent ballroom..

History

Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè is still bloodied by a recent violent conflict. A crushing bandit raid, a lost siege, getting caught at the periphery of a major battle, or some other calamity has inflicted severe damage on the place. Some communities may suffer a longer-term version of this, their youths lost in a grinding, endless battle against some perpetual threat.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè was attacked by a group of nobles with their private armies. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè lost 181 people, 315 livestock, and 48 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 121, when members of Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè's militia enacted an operation to secure a particular research site to utilize it for a specific task. The operation was complicated by an outbreak of plague which struck the ranks, killing many and laying low many more. The conflict ended with pitched battle between both forces, which ended in defeat for Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Dev-feqêlo Dêtîkè's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
